San Juan Timberwrights offers a full range of services including: design, engineering, timber frame construction, frame erection and occasional panel installation. In the past we have worked as general contractors, but now prefer to concentrate solely on timber frames. This allows our clients to select a general contractor of their choice to coordinate the remainder of the project. We work closely with the general contractor to ensure that all phases of the project go smoothly.

In addition to timber frame construction, our company also deals in reclaimed wood. We purchase wood (mostly Douglas Fir) from old buildings that are being dismantled. At our sawmill, we re-cut the salvaged beams and timbers for frames and special orders. The fine, dry, aged wood makes gorgeous flooring, cabinets, stairways, doors and trim. We have also used old timber for siding on several projects. In addition to Douglas Fir, we also handle Redwood, Southern Yellow Pine and several species of Australian hardwoods.
